Removing a Storage Drive

Press the release button to disengage the failed storage drive from the internal connector.
Before fully removing the storage drive from the drive bay, wait a minimum of 60 seconds for the internal disks to stop spinning.
- Slide the storage drive out of the drive bay. Do not install the replacement drive yet. After removing the failed storage drive, wait 60 seconds until the software verifies the drive has been removed.

Return to Server Management Client and, in the FRU Replace window, click Ok.
The software checks that the storage drive has been removed.If an error message appears, click Cancel. Resolve the issue, then reinitiate the FRU replacement procedure. Contact Teradata Support for assistance.
