Service User

Use the Connect command to connect to components listed in the Java Client Tree View.
  1. Select the component to which you want to connect, then click Connect.
  2. [Optional] Select the connection type you want to use. For components with more than one way to connect, the Connect dialog box appears. Connection types vary, depending on the component selected.
    Option Description
    Console Establishes a console connection to display the component messages during the BIOS booting process or to access the BIOS setup.
    Secure Shell (SSH) Establishes an SSH connection using port 22.
    Https

    Displays the web page and the application name, if provided. The default port is https: 443

    If the Java Client is connected through the private network, the default browser of the user opens to the private address of the chassis. If the Java Client is connected through the customer network, a web proxy provides access to the web interface through port 7755. Only one web proxy can be enabled at a time for each customer IP.

  3. Click Ok.
