PP2 supports the use of PL/I in the z/OS IBM mainframe environment.
The PL/I statements generated by the precompiler, when run in one of these environments, are acceptable to the compilers for those environments. In addition, the PL/I statements generated by the precompiler conform to the ANSI PL/I 1976 standard, X3.53-1976.
