When your system was delivered, your Teradata Customer Service Representative (CSR) configured Server Management Web Services (SMWeb) to provide alerts through Server Management Client when there are storage drive or power supply failures.
When a disk array storage drive, disk array power supply, or node power supply fails, Server Management Client logs the hardware failure in its Alert Viewer window. The Alert Viewer window must be monitored for these failures.
When a disk array, disk array power supply, or node power supply fails, Server Management Client logs the hardware failure in its Summary Alerts tab. The Summary Alerts tab must be monitored for these failures.
