The SYSMOD name identifies the level of Teradata software. The conventions for this number vary depending on the content of the software that is shipped. These conventions are as follows:
SYSMOD name | Description |
---|---|
Maintenance Software (PTF) | A SYSMOD name can indicate a maintenance software upgrade (PTF). PTF numbers refer to the Teradata maintenance software. The PTF number always begins with the letter P, followed by six alphanumeric characters. For example, a PTF number could be PW20005. |
Emergency Fix (APAR) | A SYSMOD name also can indicate an emergency fix (APAR). An APAR number consists of two letters and a five digit number that corresponds to the discrepancy report (DR) number. For example, the number of the APAR that contains the fix to the problem reported in DR 39160 would be QW39160. |
