Contact your Customer Services Representative, or follow the instructions below before upgrading Hortonworks Data Platform on the Teradata® Appliance for Hadoop or Hadoop on Teradata® IntelliBase® 2.

Important:
Before upgrading to HDP 2.6.0 or later, review Service Bulletin SB 925 for critical considerations regarding data in-place upgrades to SLES 12 SP2.
  1. Go to https://access.teradata.com and log in.
  2. Search for SB 925.
  3. Scroll to find SB 925 and select the link to read the bulletin.

Verifying python-argparse Installation

Follow the instructions in SB 907 to verify that the python-argparse package is installed.

Service Bulletin ID: SB 871

Before following the instructions from Hortonworks, you must perform the procedures in Service Bulletin ID: SB 871.
  1. Go to https://access.teradata.com and log in.
  2. Search for SB 871.
  3. Scroll to find SB 871 and select the link to read the bulletin.
After following the instructions in SB 871, follow the instructions on the Hortonworks website:
  1. Go to http://docs.hortonworks.com.
  2. Select the latest version of Ambari.
  3. Select Ambari Upgrade Guide.

Configuring Grafana Dashboards

Grafana requires at least one data source to be defined by name and a case-sensitive URL. Since Ambari registers all hosts with lowercase hostnames, Grafana may display no data and a warning message. Follow the procedure in Service Bulletin ID: SB 889 to resolve the issue.
