TDP1375 LOGICAL-HOST nnnnn (X'xxxx') IS BEING USED BY ANOTHER TDP

Explanation:

After starting the first CP or NP for the TDP, it was found that another TDP is already using the indicated Logical-host id, displayed in both decimal, as configured on the Teradata Database, and hexadecimal, as an aid to diagnosing any improper Logical-host id.

Generated By:

TDP.

Notes:

When starting the first CP or NP for a TDP the use of a Logical-host id is serialized so that multiple TDPs do not use the same Logical-host. Under MVS, TDP issues a conditional ENQ using the Logical-host id. If the ENQ fails, it means that another TDP executing under this MVS system has already started a CP or NP with the same Logical-host id. Under these circumstances, TDP issues this message and stops the CP or NP. All Logical-hosts in all Teradata Databases connected to the same operating system image must have unique Logical-host ids.

Remedy:

Ensure that the CP or NP specified is correct If not, reissue the command, specifying the correct CP or NP. Otherwise, determine why another TDP is using the Logical-host and take appropriate corrective action.
