SCHSTAT(status) formats any nonzero subchannel status as one or more of PCI (Program-controlled Interrupt), IL (Incorrect Length), PGMC (Program Check), PRTC (Protection Check), CDC (Channel-data Check), CCC (Channel-control Check), IFCC (Interface-control Check), and CC (Chainin Check). SENSE(data) displays the hexadecimal value for up to two bytes of sense data, if a Unit Check occurred and such data was provided.
