Purpose

The DETACH NP command is used to reverse the effect of the ATTACH NP command by deleting the representation of the specified NP.

Syntax



npname
The name of an existing network connection as established by an ATTACH NP command.

Usage Notes

The DETACH command can only be used when NP is in the ATTACHED or STOPPED state. An NP’s state may be seen using the DISPLAY NP command.

DETACH NP performs no substantive processing beyond reversing the effect of ATTACH.
