The following supported configurations for a standalone 6700H 3+1 clique with SSDs and HDDs can be ordered from the factory:

SSD:HDD Ratio Configuration
15:60
  • Three TPA nodes plus one hot standby node to five disk arrays (3:5 ratio)
  • 30 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 15 SSDs per active node, 60 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
20:80
  • Three TPA nodes plus one hot standby node to five disk arrays (3:5 ratio)
  • 40 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 20 SSDs per active node, 80 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
6700H 2+1 clique configurations with SSD:HDD ratios of 15:60 and 20:80, and 6700H 1+1 clique configurations with SSD:HDD ratios of 16:60 and 20:80, can be upgraded in the field to 6700H 3+1 clique configurations with SSD:HDD ratios of 15:60 and 20:80.
Upgrades from a 2+1 clique or 1+1 clique to a 3+1 clique will be based on a customer workload profile analysis.

In addition, three 6700H 2+1 clique configurations (those with SSD:HDD ratios of 15:120, 15:144, and 15:156) can be upgraded in the field to 6700H 3+1 clique configurations. The resulting unfolded 3+1 clique configuration has SSD:HDD ratios of 10:80, 10:96, or 10:104. Each 3+1 configuration has the same number of AMPs and drives as the 2+1 clique configuration, but the AMPs and drives are distributed on three nodes.

In the following table, the column on the left describes the existing 2+1 clique configuration, and the column on the right describes the resulting unfolded 3+1 clique configuration. For example, a 2+1 clique with an SSD:HDD ratio of 15:120 can be upgraded in the field to a 3+1 clique with an SSD:HDD ratio of 10:80.
