Drives in a 6800H system consist of SSDs and HDDs.

The following configurations are supported for a coexistence 6800H 1+1 clique with SSDs and HDDs:

  • One TPA node plus one hot standby node to two disk arrays (1:2 ratio)
  • 30 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 16 SSDs per active node, 60 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)

  • One TPA node plus one hot standby node to two disk arrays (1:2 ratio)
  • 30 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 16 SSDs per active node, 120 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
20:80
  • One TPA node plus one hot standby node to two disk arrays (1:2 ratio)
  • 40 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 20 SSDs per active node, 80 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
18:160
  • One TPA node plus one hot standby node to two disk arrays (1:2 ratio)
  • 40 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 18 SSDs per active node, 160 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
Assumptions are as follows:
  • 6690 must be at 192 Gb memory.
  • SLES 11 is required for coexistence with 6800H.

Guidelines differ depending on the system that the 6800H is being added to.

For a 6800H 1+1 clique coexisting with a 6690 system, the following guidelines apply:

  • One TPA node plus one hot standby node to two disk arrays (1:2 ratio)
  • Up to 40 AMPs per node
  • Up to 178 drives per node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
