Drives in a 6800H system consist of SSDs and HDDs.

The following coexistence configurations are supported for a 6800H 2+1 clique with SSDs and HDDs:

Coexistence with 6690

6800H 2+1

SSD:HDD Ratio

6800H 2+1 Clique Configuration
16:60
  • Two TPA nodes plus one hot standby node to four disk arrays (2:4 ratio)
  • 30 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 16 SSDs per active node, 60 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
16:120
  • Two TPA nodes plus one hot standby node to four disk arrays (2:4 ratio)
  • 30 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 16 SSDs per active node, 120 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
20:80
  • Two TPA nodes plus one hot standby node to four disk arrays (2:4 ratio)
  • 40 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 20 SSDs per active node, 80 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)
18:160
  • Two TPA nodes plus one hot standby node to four disk arrays (2:4 ratio)
  • 40 AMPs per node (APN)
  • 18 SSDs per active node, 160 HDDs per active node (mixed drive types in each disk array)

Guidelines differ depending on whether the configuration is a variable configuration.

For a 6800H 2+1 clique with four disk arrays, coexisting with a 6690 system, the following guidelines apply:

  • Two Teradata Database nodes plus one hot standby node to four disk arrays (2:4 ratio)
  • Up to 40 AMPs per node
  • Up to 178 drives per node
