If a Teradata system is to be installed in a containment environment or a non-raised floor environment, the site team must consult with Teradata regional installation personnel, Teradata Customer Support and Engineering. The site team will need to prepare a detailed site survey and analysis to help the installation personnel determine the proper equipment layouts that meet the stated environmental requirements for the system.
Consider and ensure the following when designing the floor layout:
- Servicing clearances are sufficient
- Cold air requirements meet the standards established in Environmental Requirements.
Include the following personnel when discussing the layout:
- Facility personnel at customer site, to discuss cold air delivery systems and other data center-related issues
-
Teradata regional installation personnel, which should include assistance from Teradata Engineering
