After deploying the database, verify the Advanced SQL Engine is accessible and responsive.

Start BTEQ.
No additional installation is required. BTEQ is installed on the Advanced SQL Engine (TPA) node for Teradata Vantage on VMware.
- Using the default credentials, log on to the database.

Run select * from dbc.dbcinfo to see if the database is responding.
Sample result indicating response:
sel * from dbc.dbcinfo; *** Query completed. 3 rows found. 2 columns returned. *** Total elapsed time was 1 second. ` InfoKey InfoData –-------------------------------------- VERSION 16.20.xx.xx RELEASE 16.20.xx.xx LANGUAGE SUPPORT MODE Standard
- If the database does not respond, access the server through SSH.
