Edit the common.IT.properties.json file only once unless something in your virtual environment changes. Edit the node.IT.properties.json file before deploying each Teradata virtual machine.
  1. In a text or JSON editor, open and update the properties file you need to edit.

    The files are in C:\mylocation\Teradata_Deployer\Properties.

  2. Save the files.
  3. Activate the license.

Activating the license automatically creates a backup of the properties file in C:\myLocation\Teradata_Deployer\Logs inside activation_TDSystemName_timestamp .

PostrequisiteIt is recommended you back up the properties files when you deploy the system. If your system is ever destroyed, you will need to recreate your original properties files to revoke the license in the Windows environment.
