metadelete

Purpose

The metadelete program drops all MDS repository tables, views and macros; that is, all tables, views and macros that were created by MDS in the Teradata Database.

Restrictions

Metadelete can only be run as a command line program. Must be logged in as root to run metadelete on Linux.

Parameter

Description

superuser

The name of an MDS Administrator.

password

The password of an MDS Administrator. If the password parameter is not given and the superuser specified is 'metasu', the MDSMETASUPWD environment variable value will be used for the password if it is defined.

-F

Deletes the repository even if it is not the current release.

-h

Displays a message describing the metadelete parameters and then exits. No changes are made to the repository.
