Creating a Repository Relationship

A relationship is an association between two classes of metadata. Each relationship defines an origin class and a destination class of metadata. These can be the same class, different classes in the same metamodel, or classes from different metamodels.

To create a new relationship between classes for a specific AIM:

1 In the Navigation Pane, click Metamodel Administration.

2 From the Repository Metamodels list, select the metamodel name, and then click Go.

3 Under the Classes and Relationships area for the selected AIM, click New Relationship.

The Create Relationship screen appears.

4 Enter or select the necessary information.

For detailed instructions, click .

5 Click Create.

Upon successful completion, the right pane displays the MDS Metamodel Administration screen for the current metamodel. The new relationship appears in the Classes and Relationships area.
