Protocol-function is a one-byte field that specifies the Two-phase commit optimizations that are being used.
This feature requires one of the following Teradata software releases:
- Teradata Database for UNIX version 2 release 2 (or later)
- Teradata DBS for TOS version 1 release 5 (or later)
