The LOB-aggregate-data-pointer points to the LOB Aggregate Data (LAD). When supported by the Teradata Database, the DBCALAD is used to provide Large-object data inline, QERILQU value may be used to ascertain the Database support for this feature.

LOB-aggregate-data-pointer exists only when DBCHINI had been called for a DBCAREA with Total-length set to at least 1024 (that is, the returned DBCAREA Level value is at least 2). For a smaller DBCAREA, LOB-aggregate-data-pointer is taken to be zero. For more information, see DBCAREA Extensions.
