Purpose

Initiates a request consisting of one or more SQL statements and indicates that the results are to be returned in MultipartIndicator mode.

Usage Notes

If the SQL request contains a USING row descriptor, then this parcel is followed by either one or more MultipartData parcels and an EndMultipartData parcel, or one or more MultipartIndicData parcels and an EndMultipartIndicData parcel.

Parcel Data

The content of the MultipartRequest parcel is as follows.

Flavor Parcel Body Length Parcel Body Fields
148 1 to maximum body size ReqText

ReqText is one or more SQL statements, each separated by a semicolon, the last ending with an optional semicolon. The characters are in the current session character set.

If the DBCAREA option Request-mode=B was specified and a request is being built that is similar to what CLIv2 builds, either the FMReq, IndicReq, MultipartRequest, or Req parcel must immediately follow any Options parcel. If no Options parcel exists, one of these must be the first parcel. Whether the MultipartRequest parcel is supported by Teradata Database can be ascertained using the CLIv2 DBCHQE Large-object-support query.
