The SCOPE and VPROC commands select a set of vprocs (AMPs) that Filer communicates with until the command is used to specify another set of vprocs, or until the Filer session ends.
- Sets the scope to all vprocs.
- Numeric identifier of a single vproc.
- Name of a map. Map names must be enclosed in double-quotation marks, as shown in the syntax diagram.
In this mode, Filer sends subsequent commands only to each vproc in the set scope, and each vproc sends back results. After this command is issued, most commands requiring confirmation cannot be used.
You cannot use the SCOPE and VPROC commands if Filer is started in vproc-specific mode using the -v start up option. For more information, see Standard Filer Startup Syntax.
You cannot use the SCOPE and VPROC commands if Filer is started from the Debugger. For information on invoking Filer from the System Debugger or Coroner, see Running Filer from the System Debugger and Coroner.
