The monitoring service can be started again by doing the following:
  1. Run the dmcluster startmonitor command on the master monitoring server.
  2. Run the dmcluster status command from the master or slave daemon server to verify that all master components have been started before starting the monitoring service.
If any of the master components have not been started correctly, a failover will be initiated. The other option is to run the dmcluster setmaster command from the daemon server that needs to become the master to restart all Data Mover services, including the monitor service in master-slave mode.

For more information about restarting services as master or slave, see Restarting Services as Master or Slave.
