Purpose
Displays detailed information on jobs that are communicating with the Teradata Database through TDP. The DISPLAY JOB command requires a valid job name as an operand. Note that in some cases the job name is a userid.
To use this command, you must first use the DISPLAY SESSIONS command to display a list of current jobs, then use a listed jobname as the operand to the DISPLAY JOB command.
Syntax
The DI and DIS abbreviations are deprecated.
where:
- jobname
- Name of job for which status information is to be displayed.
Usage Notes
When the DISPLAY JOB command is executed, TDP displays:
- Job name
- Number of sessions owned by the job
- Status of logons (enabled or disabled) for the job
- Status of each session owned by a job:
- Name of the job owning the session
- Session number (in decimal numbers)
- Status of the session
One of the following is always present:
Status | Description |
---|---|
IDLE | Session has no request active. |
ACTIVE | Session has a request active |
One or more of the following can be present if the condition occurs:
Status | Description |
---|---|
STARTING | Session has not completed logon processing. |
ENDING | Session has not completed logoff processing. |
SWITCH PENDING | Session must be switched to another session processor, which is not yet assigned. |
SWITCH ACTIVE | Session is currently being switched to a new session processor. |
