Use the following BTEQ commands to specify the printer formats:
- WIDTH – Specifies the number of characters per line.
- PAGELENGTH – Specifies the number of lines per page.
- FORMCHAR – Specifies the form-feed character.
Printer format specifications can be changed any time. However, the FORMAT command option must be set to ON to activate the changes.
By default, the BTEQ FORMAT command option is set to OFF. In this condition, BTEQ does not process printer format specifications, except WIDTH, and automatically centers all reports based on the WIDTH specification.
Set the FORMAT command option to ON to print reports using the printer format specifications.
