SYSUDTLIB System Database

Methods and UDTs are stored in the system database, SYSUDTLIB. Database SYSUDTLIB is backed up or restored as part of a DBC backup.

Teradata Database handles SYSUDTLIB separately from DBC in the following instances:

When you copy the contents of SYSUDTLIB to another database using COPY FROM. DBC is not included in this copy. You cannot specify SYSUDTLIB as the target database.

When you delete all objects in the system (except for permanent journal tables) so that DBC can be restored:

DELETE DATABASE (DBC) ALL, EXCLUDE (DBC);
