This chapter describes the differences between ANSI and Teradata session modes and how to set the system session mode. The chapter also describes Teradata sessions: how to obtain information about them, troubleshoot problems with them, and improve their performance. In the section on user accounts, the chapter describes how to create accounts, work with system accounting views, and use account string expansion to measure query and AMP usage.
