Purpose
Specifies whether CLI double-buffering is active or inactive.
Syntax
where the following is true:
- ON
- CLI’s double-buffering function is active.
If neither ON or OFF is specified in the command, BTEQ sets SESSION TWORESPBUFS to ON.
- OFF
- CLI’s double-buffering function is not active.
Usage Notes
The specifications for the SESSION TWORESPBUFS command always override the two-resp-bufs entries for double-buffering in CLI’s System Parameter Block (SPB). In general, use of double-buffering enables performance benefits that cannot be realized when using single-buffering. Therefore, BTEQ specifies a default of ON for this setting.
