Azure allows you to create VMs in defined geographic regions that are closest to your users. For example, West US or East US. Within each region, multiple data centers exist to maximize performance, service availability, and redundancy. Learn about why it is important to choose the right region for legal, compliance, or tax purposes. See Azure Documentation Center.

When you deploy Teradata products using a solution template, you select a region (location) in the template. If you deploy Teradata products separately, you select a region when you define your resources.

You can change the operating system time zone in the solution template. For example, if you reside in the Central US time zone, you can set the operating system time zone of all VMs in the deployment to Central US. By default, the time zone for Vantage is set to UTC in the VM. You can change the Vantage time zone using the DBS Control utility. For information on DBS Control, see Teradata Vantageā„¢ - Database Utilities.

VNets cannot span over multiple regions.
