Teradata DSA in a legacy BAR environment requires the following hardware and software upgrades prior to Teradata DSA components installation. Each upgrade requires a separate Change Control.
- Upgrade the operating system from SLES 10 to SLES 11 for the BAR Administrative and BAR Media server.
- Upgrade memory and hard disk for the BAR Administrative server to match specifications for running DSC.
- Install Teradata Database 15.10.01.xx only on the BAR Administrative Server.
DSA 15.11 now uses Teradata Database 15.10.01.xx as its internal repository database.
The following list outlines the workflow of installing and configuring DSA software:
- Install the Parallel Upgrade Tool (PUT) if you are using PUT to install software. See Preparing for Software Installation.

- Install DSA component software with PUT or scripts. See Installing Software.
