Ensure that the Viewpoint node is installed with a version of the BARPortlets package that is compatible with the DSU packages on the DSU vNode. The BARPortlets package can be found on https://access.teradata.com.
Configure BARPortlets on the Viewpoint instance to direct itself to the DSU instance.
  1. Edit /etc/opt/teradata/dsa/config/barportlet.properties to include the IP address of the DSU instance: 
    # Purpose: The hostname or IP address of the machine running the 
# Java Message Service (JMS) Message Broker. 
# Default: localhost 
# Other examples include: 
# broker.url=192.0.2.0 
# broker.url=hostname 
# broker.url=[DB8:85a3:114:23ff:fe1d:32fb] 
broker.url=IP of DSU instance

    For example:

    broker.url=198.51.100.24

  2. Restart Viewpoint to start communication. /etc/init.d/viewpoint restart
