- These are the default usernames/passwords associated with the DSU Repository for metadata.
- DBSUSERNAME=dbc
- DBSPASSWORD=dbc
- SUPERUSERNAME=dbc
- SUPERUSERPASSWORD=dbc
- OPPASSWORD=bar
- REPPASSWORD=barbackup
- DSCUSER=dscuser
- TPA and Viewpoint nodes must be time-synchronized with the DSU vNode in order for DSU to function properly. Therefore, it is important to make sure that the correct ntp server is provided in the properties file.
- It is recommended to use the TPA nodes as Media Servers to perform backups/restores of the Teradata Database, and to use the DSU vNode as a Media Server to perform backups/restores of the DSU Repository. The DSU vNode is pre-configured as a Media Server. See Configuring a TPA Node as Media Server.
- If you see the following error when starting a BAR job, it means the media server is not configured in the same subnet with the DSU vNode. Please change the subnet mask of the media server and re-run the BAR job.
