Several Analytic Algorithms and Scoring functions output columns of XML. The report function transforms the XML to HTML, which is easier to view.
The report function outputs the HTML in a column of type Teradata XML. You can copy the HTML into a text file, give the text file a name ending in ".html", and view it in a browser. Alternatively, you can view the HTML in a SQL execution tool. For example:
SQL Execution Tool | How to View HTML |
---|---|
Jupyter Notebook | Double-click the cell that contains HTML to display it in web view. If you run an Analytic Algorithm or Scoring function in Jupyter, the cell might contain XML (independent of running reports). If so, right-click it, copy it, paste it into a text file whose name ends with ".xml", and display the file in a browser. |
Basic Teradata Query (BTEQ) | Set the display width to 20000 so you can view or copy the HTML. |
Teradata Studio | In the LOB (Large Object) Disposition window, set File Extension to html. Then, in the Teradata Result Set Viewer, double-click the HTML cell. |
