If you are deploying Teradata components separately on AWS, some products can be deployed using 1-Click Launch.
- If you have not already subscribed to the software, you want to deploy, do so now. Contact your Teradata Account Team if you are looking to purchase Teradata Ecosystem software, such as, Data Stream Controller, Query Service, Query Grid Manager, and Server Management.
- Log in to AWS Marketplace https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace
- From your account menu in the upper-right corner, select Your Marketplace Software.
- Select Launch new instance under the subscription name of the software you want to deploy.
- On the Launch new instance page, select Delivery method, Software version and Region.
- Before deploying, review and modify the following settings.
- Expand Delivery method and select an AMI based option.
- Expand Region and select a region.
- Expand Sotware version, select latest version available for the component software.
- Launch instance with latest version.If you are deploying latest version of the software, select Continue to launch through EC2 and Launch an instance page. Review the selected options such as instance type, network settings and if required, change the options from drop-down or by creating new options.
- Launch instance with older versions.
- Select Full AWS Marketplace Website under Software Version. On this page, select software version, and region and select Continue to launch.
- In the Launch this Software page, select Launch from website under Chose Action.
- Review selected EC2 Instance Type. Expand to view the options.
- Review selected VPC Settings, Subnet Settings, Security Group Settings, and Key Pair Settings. You have the option to create each of the previous settings.
- For the subnet, select the required subnet and check the Auto-assign public IP is enabled by default.
- Select Launch instanceThe time required for an instance to deploy varies because instance types come in various sizes with varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking capacity. Upon successful deployment, a message appears with configuration details.
- Select EC2-Console link under the Success message to observe instance being launched in EC2-console.
- From the AWS console EC2 Dashboard, assign a name to help you identify the instance:
- In the Name column of the instance, select .
- Enter the instance name, then select .

When the Instance State changes to running, complete the applicable procedure under Configuring Teradata Software on AWS.
