Required configuration procedures and individual steps in those procedures differ based on the deployment method. The table at the beginning of each configuration procedure helps you determine whether you need to complete the procedure. Steps specific to certain deployment contexts are identified individually within procedures. In the absence of a table, the procedure does not depend on deployment method.
To prepare for configuration, set up a supported system console that supports SSH protocol, such as PuTTY or SecureCRT.
