Licensing errors may occur when scaling up or scaling down a system. During this process, Teradata strongly recommends you monitor the AWS CloudWatch logs. In AWS CloudWatch logs, look for log group Teradata/DBS/stack-name and log stream telm_stack-name.

Error Remedy
Running the command
eval "$(grep "tdc-telm -m activate" /var/lib/cloud/instance/scripts/part-001)"
does not display any output
Run the following activate command and follow the instructions on the screen.
sudo su -
tdc-telm -m activate
echo $?
