You can view the status of any resource, such as a node, for troubleshooting purposes. You can see if a VM is running, stopped, and so on. See Microsoft Azure Blog for more information on diagnosing and resolving issues with Azure.
  1. From the Azure portal, select the resource and review the Overview page.
    You can determine if a VM is running, stopped, and so on.
  2. [Optional] From the Azure portal, do the following to troubleshoot why a resource may not be functioning as expected.
    1. Click Settings.
    2. In the right pane, select any choice under Support + Troubleshooting.
