By default, BTEQ presents each row of output data as one row in the reports, with each column presented side by side in a horizontal format.
For example, use the following SELECT statement:
SELECT DeptNo, Name, JobTitle, Salary FROM Employee WHERE DeptNo = 300;
The previous example produces the following report:
