When running a UNIX or Windows operating system, BTEQ commands and SQL requests can be included in a file created and stored using a workstation editor. In this case, always use an editor that does not include line numbers in its output file. BTEQ uses all of the information on each line, therefore, line numbers are interpreted as part of the input stream.
