The support and viewpoint accounts are automatically created when you add QueryGrid as a monitored system:
- The support account is a user account used by customer support personnel.
- The viewpoint account is a service account used by Viewpoint to access QueryGrid.
Teradata strongly recommends changing the default passwords for these accounts. If the password is not changed, QueryGrid Manager creates a warning issue for the accounts that still use the default password. Once the password is changed, for both support and Viewpoint accounts, the issue is automatically removed from QueryGrid Manager. QueryGrid Manager generates a warning to remind you that passwords need to meet standard requirements. If your password already meets the requirements, you can ignore the warning and delete it. If not met, reset your password and the issue is automatically deleted.
