APRC restricts the number of database restarts triggered by AP resets to only those occurrences where a restart is essential. The estimated net result of enabling APRC is the elimination of from 75 to 90 percent of restarts initiated by AP Resets. (Before APRC was implemented, a restart was automatically triggered whenever an active AP in the current configuration was reset.)
In the case of a resetting AP, there is a short delay while reconnects through other APs are performed, but the longer delay usually associated with a restart is not necessary.
