Each of the fields described in the following section contain a table that lists the language used and the corresponding variable name.
The variable names for C:DBCAREA.H are found in the dbcarea.h file.
The definition of the DBCAREA in COBOL is found on the release tape or disk as DBCAREAC. Cobol is supported only on the VAX through the preprocessor.
Input fields are used by applications to indicate an action to be taken, to set processing options, and to pass data to CLI. Some of the fields are used to construct parcels for the database.
The output fields are used by CLI to provide the return code from the action requested and to pass back information from CLI, for example, a pointer to a parcel in the response. Include files that define this area are provided for the supported language, which is C.
