When a request is made by a lab user or read-only user, the lab group owner or lab owners who have been granted approval authority can deny the request.

After a request is denied, users can click , located next to the status in the Request Details on the Requests tab, to review the reason for the denial. If a reason for the denial was not provided by the lab group owner or lab owners, the icon does not appear next to the status.

  1. Click the Approvals tab.
  2. Click the request to see the Request Details pane.
  3. Click Deny.
  4. In the Deny Request dialog box, type a reason for the denial, up to 500 characters.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Click the Requests tab to verify that the Status column displays Denied for the request.
