You can install a customized TDPUAX during normal TDP operation in the z/OS environment. Follow these steps to install a customized TDPUAX:

  1. Rename the current version of TDPUAX. (This allows you revert to the previous version, if necessary.)
  2. Compile and link-edit the customized TDPUAX module into the <dbcpfx>.TDPLOAD library, specifying link-edit options that are consistent with the guidelines listed in step #1.
  3. Install the customized TDPUAX with SMP (z/OS clients only) as a USERMOD to prevent overlaying a customized TDPUAX with a replacement TDPUAX module supplied in a later software release.
