You can install a customized TDPUSEC during normal TDP operation. Follow these steps to install a customized TDPUSEC:

  1. Rename the current version of TDPUSEC (this allows you revert to the previous version if necessary).
  2. Compile and link-edit the customized TDPUSEC module into the following:

    • In z/OS, the <dbcpfx>.TDPLOAD

  3. Install the customized TDPUSEC with SMP as a USERMOD to prevent overlaying a customized TDPUSEC with a replacement TDPUSEC module supplied in a later software release.
