INITIAL PCSUFX - Teradata Director Program

Purpose

Associates a TDP with the version of the TDPNSPCI module that is used by the subsystem in which TDP is running. (z/OS only)

Syntax

where:

suffix_character

Suffix character of the TDPNSPCI module to be used. The character can be alphabetic, numeric, or $, #, or @.

If not specified, the default is I.

Usage Notes

When the database uses more than one TDP subsystem (for example, a testing TDP subsystem and a production TDP subsystem), each subsystem can use a different copy of the non-space-switched PC program (TDPNSPCI) module to communicate with an application address space. To enable a TDP to distinguish between TDPNSPCI modules, a suffix is appended to the name of each module during the installation of Teradata Tools and Utilities software on the client.

The TDPNSPCI module is used only if TDP runs in communication mode PC (Program Call).
