TDP accepts commands from the console or any user that has the authorization to execute the commands. The TDP commands can be executed in the TSO foreground or background by:

  • Using a TSO CALL command to call the DBCCMD user interface
  • Using the DBCCMD CLIST that is supplied on the release tape
  • Invoking the DBCCMD program from within batch jobs

The standard application-to-TDP interface routine supports routing a command from the TSO or TSS address space to the requested TDP subsystem.
