Purpose
Stops TDP operation.
Syntax
Unlike other commands, the SHUTDOWN command has no abbreviation. Because the impact of the command is irreversible, requiring it to be fully specified minimizes accidental use.
where:
- CANCEL
- Cancels TDP immediately with a memory dump.
- QUICK
- Logs off all sessions before shutting down TDP.
- ORDERLY
- Disables logons and waits for sessions to end before shutting down TDP.
