Procedure Overview - Teradata Preprocessor2

To set up the SQL examples:

1. Install the PP2 product libraries on all operating systems that will be used.
2. Run the LABS control stream to:
   • Create the new EMPLOYEE table.
   • Load the EMPLOYEE table.
   • Create the LAB6 macro.
   • Create the LAB7 macro.
     Execute the create files and load the data only once on any one platform.
3. Grant the following access privileges for the user ID you want to use with the examples.
   • SELECT
   • UPDATE
   • INSERT
   • DELETE

     Remember to set the LOGON string variable length and modify the code to include these items for the installation:

   • TDPID
   • USERID
   • password
