The Teradata Access Module for Kafka reads messages from the partitions of Topic and records the offset number of the last message read from the partition. The Teradata Parallel Transporter DataConnector operator issues the File Get Position command to the access module to process a checkpoint. The Teradata Access Module for Kafka returns the Topic name and the offset number of the last message read for each partition to the Teradata Parallel Transporter DataConnector operator when it receives the File Get Position command.
