The following restrictions apply to using the Teradata Parallel Transporter:
- Unlike the client load utilities, Teradata Parallel Transporter cannot use the file descriptor file system devices to connect a writer process with the reader process through the Teradata Access Module for Named Pipes. This is a limitation of the Teradata Parallel Transporter infrastructure, because the tbuild process does not accept data through its standard input.
- A Teradata Parallel Transporter job must be restarted from its beginning.
